Tenders data is drawn from the Tenders Australia API (with thanks).
It is important to understand what you are looking at here. So:
-
The database gives amended tenders with the full amount of the contract — not just the variation.
That means if you just add up the entries, you'll count multiple times and the numbers will be too high.
In other places we sort this — here we just focus on the contract values as an indicator of what is going on so we exclude amendments. The linked details show amendments.
-
Names can be misleading. You can search on a name and see multiple instances.
That’s because we aggregate to the underlying unique ID for the organisation — that disambiguates for typos, name changes, and so on.
-
Some organisations have a lot of contracts. We’ve limited the details to displaying 500,
and so don’t provide detailed output for anything that goes beyond that at the moment.
