FOI Explorer – Choose a View
There are five FOI Explorer views. Each opens in a new tab so you can flip between them or line them up side by side.
FOI Requests – Totals & Top Departments
Shows the big picture across all responsible departments:
- Total FOI requests (T) per year.
- Combined total for the top N departments across all years.
- Top N departments for any single year period (treemap).
FOI Requests – Requests by Agency
Lets you see FOI request totals by agency name:
- Type part of an agency name (substring match).
- See and yearly totals matching agencies.
- View results as both a table and a bar chart.
Compare Responsible Departments
Compare up to five responsible departments side by side:
- Select departments from a list.
- See andf compare yearly totals for each department in a table.
- View trends over time in a grouped bar chart.
FOI Actions on Requests – Totals & Percentages
See what happens to FOI requests overall:
- Totals (T) for granted in full, granted in part, refused and withdrawn.
- Stacked totals by year for each action type.
- Overall and per-year composition shown as semi-circular gauges.

Search FOI outcomes by agency name:
- Type part of an agency name (substring match).
- View yearly totals for five action types.
- Totals (T) shown by default; toggle to view Personal & Other columns.
